Il monumento dedicato a D’Annunzio è composto da una colonna sormontata da un capitello corinzio, collocata su base quadrata sulla quale è apposta un’epigrafe che ricorda l’ ‘impresa di Fiume’. A seguito di questa, nel 1925, il Comune di Ronchi mutò il suo nome in Ronchi dei Legionari. Il monumento è situato in località San Polo, al confine tra Monfalcone e Ronchi, non lontano dalla settecentesca chiesetta dedicata a San Paolo , a cui D’Annunzio sottrasse la campanella durante la marcia sulla città adriatica di Fiume.

The monument dedicated to D’Annunzio consists of a column surmounted by a Corinthian capital placed on a square base, on which is affixed an epigraph which recalls the controversial “Impresa di Fiume”. Following this, in 1925 the Municipality of Ronchi changed its name to Ronchi dei Legionari. It is located in San Polo, on the border between Monfalcone and Ronchi, not far from the eighteenth-century church dedicated to San Polo, from which D’Annunzio stole the bell during the march on the Adriatic city of Fiume.
