Costruito su preesistenti strutture del Forte di Fogliano, questo edificio sacro fu edificato nel 1521, per volere di  Teodoro del Borgo, comandante dei balestrieri a cavallo della Repubblica di Venezia. La chiesa presenta all’interno a pregevoli affreschi d’autore ignoto, mentre le rappresentazioni pittoriche sono attribuibili a maestri friulani.

The church was built in 1521, at the behest of Teodoro del Borgo, commander of the crossbowmen on horseback on the behalf of the Republic of Venice, on pre-existing structures of the fortress of Fogliano. The single-nave church of classical construction has valuable frescoes by an unknown author inside, while the pictorial representations may be attributed to Friulian painters.
