Il castello Alimonda a Sagrado venne edificato nel 1885 dai fratelli triestini Alimonda che lo adibirono a clinica per le cure elettroterapiche. Il palazzo è a pianta quadrata su tre piani con torre annessa nella parte posteriore. Lo stile eclettico mostra affinità con altri edifici contemporanei come il Castello di Miramare a Trieste. La facciata presenta l’ingresso principale al primo piano e sulla parte più alta è visibile lo stemma della famiglia Alimonda. Dopo la morte dei proprietari il palazzo fu utilizzato come ospedale militare e poi carcere. Ora è di proprietà del Comune di Sagrado in attesa di destinazione d’uso.

Alimonda castle was built in 1885 in Sagrado by the Alimonda brothers from Trieste who used it as a clinic for electrotherapy treatments. The building has a square plan on three floors with an adjoining tower at the back part of the building. The eclectic style shows affinity with other contemporary buildings such as the Miramare Castle in Trieste. The façade has the main entrance on the first floor and the Alimonda family crest is visible on the highest part. After the death of the owners, the building was used as a military hospital and then as a prison. It is now owned by the Municipality of Sagrado awaiting its intended use.
