La storica chiesa dedicata a Sant’Ambrogio a Monfalcone venne demolita dopo i bombardamenti della Grande Guerra. La ricostruzione fu sviluppata dagli architetti  romani Benigni e Leoni su un progetto ispirato alle forme architettoniche della basilica di Aquileia. Consacrata nel 1929 all’interno presenta una navata centrale divisa da  una fila di otto colonne , presenta elementi di gusto romanico, decorazioni a bassorilievo e finestre intarsiate. Presente all’interno un bassorilievo in marmo di Carrara raffigurante l’Annunciazione dello scultore Ferruccio Patuna.

The historic church dedicated to Saint Ambrose in Monfalcone was severely damaged by bombing during World War I. The reconstruction was carried out by the Roman architects Benigni and Leoni on the ground of a project inspired by the architectural structure of the Basilica of Aquileia. Consecrated in 1929, it has a central nave divided by a row of eight columns and features Romanesque elements, bas-relief decorations and inlaid windows. Inside it, there is a Carrara marble bas-relief depicting the Annunciation by the sculptor Ferruccio Patuna.
